Dr. Michael Hall on Why Funding is So Important for Cancer Research
Dr. Michael Hall is a professor of biochemistry at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel in Switzerland. He was awarded the 2017 Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research and served as chair of the 2018 Prize selection committee. His groundbreaking discoveries have proven critical for treatments of kidney, breast, brain and pancreatic cancers. Many scientists’ innovative research would not be possible without support and funding from private foundations such as NFCR.
