NFCR CEO Sujuan Ba Recognized as an Inspiring Women Leader of 2022
The National Foundation for Cancer Research wishes to congratulate our President & CEO, Dr. Sujuan Ba, for being recognized as one of the Top 20 Inspiring Women Leaders of 2022 by The Women Leaders Magazine.
“NFCR and AIM-HI are about impact investing, and our greatest success will be when breakthroughs being made in the lab are commercialized and made readily available to patients” – Dr. Sujuan Ba, NFCR President & CEO.
Additionally, Dr. Ba was recently highlighted as a ‘Scientist Trailblazing the Transformation’ in the Profiles in Success series.
Both features describe Dr. Ba’s determination and passion for bringing life-saving research progress to real-world use for the benefit of cancer patients. In the article, she identifies 2022 and beyond as markedly the most significant years of progress against cancer. For instance, a few of the exciting developments we expect to see in the coming years include:
- Artificial intelligence-based cancer detection technologies to reduce the number of false positives and negatives.
- New tools for gene expression mapping in a cancer biopsy to develop more effective treatments.
- New drugs capable of turning cancer cells back to normal instead of destroying them outright.
You can read the entire magazine feature here.
Hopefully you can join us in congratulating Dr. Ba! Thank you for being on our team in the fight against cancer.
